It’s been melting like crazy here. The snow seemed to disappear over a week’s time.
Darryl started grading the driveway a bit cause there were ruts from the mud (though not as bad as last year) and there’s a couple of high spots he wants to take down. But then the tractor started leaking oil so he had to stop.
The driveway gets more sunshine than my garden right now, so there’s still quite a bit of snow in it.
Sadie came out to help me rake while Darryl was on the tractor. I think this is one of my favourite pictures of her.
Then this morning, I woke up to this.
I wasn’t impressed. I know it won’t be around long but it brings back feelings of christmas holidays and the first snowfalls of winter, back when you’re actually happy to see it.
I took Sadie out to do chores with me and she tripped in the mud within two minutes and spent the rest of the time looking like this.
But the tractor was looking especially photogenic this morning.
I hope you’re enjoying spring wherever you are. I am enjoying watching how fast this stuff is disappearing and hearing water dripping constantly. And hoping this baby makes an appearance soon!
